THE STORY OF UZMA

The Uzma episode is unravelling. This muslim lady from mumbai went on a ten day visit to Pakistan where according to her she was drugged and forced to marry a much married man. Uzma escaped and sought asylum in the indian high commission. The matter went to court and finally with help from Sushma Swaraj she extricated herself and returned to India. Talking to tv channels she said that she was under the impression that pakistan being an Islamic state would be a paradise but the reality was according to Uzma a country that was a hell house. She made a statement that many of my muslim friends make,

WITH ALL ITS BLEMISHES INDIA IS ONE OF THE BEST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD FOR A MUSLIM.
As she crossed the Wagah border she kneeled and kissed the Indian soil. To my mind this may be frowned upon as being unislamic but I must confess there was a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when I saw on tv Uzma kiss our soil. I recall what Bharat Ratna Bismillah Khan said .The shehnai maestro went on a musical tour of Pakistan At the end of the first day he decided to return to india He said that he found the atmosphere there suffocating and preferred the freedom India gave. At this very moment I am watching Uzma also talk of how suffocating she found the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
I may add that Bismillah Khan used to play the shehnai sitting outside the Vishwanath temple in Benares .
Indian Muslims are Indians first and Pak should stop playing dirty games. Hurriyat please learn a lesson from experience of those who love India.

India has been victim of terrorism:President Trump

Urging Arab and Islamic leaders to unite and do their share to defeat Islamist extremists, US President Donald Trump acknowledged that India was a victim of terrorism.
The US President made the comments while addressing the Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh.
During his speech at the Arab-Islamic-US summit, Trump acknowledged that India was a victim of terrorism and asked countries to ensure that terror groups don't find sanctuaries on their soil.
The US President urged Arab and Islamic leaders to unite and do their share to defeat Islamist extremists, making an impassioned plea to "drive out" terrorists while toning down his own harsh rhetoric about Muslims.
He assured full US cooperation in tackling the terrorism menace.

"Terrorism has spread all across the world. But the path to peace begins right here, on this ancient soil, in this sacred land," Trump told leaders from about 50 Muslim-majority countries representing more than a billion people.
The President further pledged to work alongside the West Asian nations to combat extremist ideology in the region as all the countries from the US to India, Australia to Russia - have been "victim of terrorism and have suffered repeated barbaric attacks."
Without naming Pakistan, Trump said "every country must ensure that terrorists don't find any sanctuary on their lands."

CANDLELIGHT MARCH FOR KASHMIRI OFFICER LT UMMER FAYAZ

The candlelight march started at Rajouri as people started coming out to pay their tributes to the hero. The young Kashmiri officer was murdered by suspected Hizbul militants on Wednesday. A whole civil society who participated in the event said the country has lost a role model.

Lieutenant Ummer Fayaz, an apple farmer's son, had completed five months in the service. The officer of the 2nd battalion of the Rajputana Rifles had taken leave to go home to the troubled Kulgam town in south Kashmir to attend the wedding. He was posted with the Rajputana Rifles in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

A hockey and volleyball player, Ummer Fayaz had graduated from the National Defence Academy and was expected to go for the Young Officers' Course in September.

The Nation comes together to pay tributes to braveheart Lt Ummer Fayaz at Rajouri. We share the grief of family of Lt. Ummer Fayaz & stand in solidarity. Lt. Ummer Fayaz will continue to inspire youth from the Valley.

Nai Manzil

‘Nai Manzil’ is a scheme sponsored by Ministry of Minority Affairs Government of India under which unemployment and school dropout youths will be provided formal education (up till Class 8th or 10th) and skill training along with certification in the age group of 17 to 35 years.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman JKDF said Nai Manzil Scheme aims to benefit the minority youths in the age group of 17 to 35 years who are school-dropouts or educated in the community education institutions like Madarsas, by providing them an integrated input of formal education (up till Class VIII or X) and skill training along with certification, with a view of enabling them to seek better employment in the organized sector and equipping them with better lives. Minimum 30% seats are earmarked for minority girls.

He said the scheme includes a Non-residential programme of 9-12 months duration involving a Basic Bridge Programme (For Class VIII or Class X) for their education, along with training in trade based skills for sustained livelihood/gainful employment. The scheme covers the entire country.

Pertinently, after successful completion of training, the PIAs will facilitate the placement of trainees in jobs for wage employment. It is mandated that minimum 70% of the youth trained under the project should be successfully placed within three months of completion of training.

Govt Higher Secondary School, Dadasara of Tral in pulwama,  Kashmir, scripted another history for itself. This time, one of its student Miss Shaheera topped class 12 exam of J&K State Board.

She scored incredible 498 out of 500 marks inspite of all the turmoil going around, due to the death of Burhan Wani.  Ironically, Hizbul Mujahideen martyr Burhan Wani was also a student and a drop-out of this school. Of course, he picked up the gun instead of pen.

The story of shaheera was flashed on number of TV Channels across the country, which catapulted the status of the Shaheera immediately into a celebrity. Every Kashmiri needs to be proud of her achievement. Hope she also does not meet the fate, like Zaira Wasim of 'Dangal' fame. A request to all - that please do not start trolling her. Let the talent of J&K get its due recognition.
